Description: Six stories in eighty minutes, set in various parts of the world, but it is only the last one, filmed in Rome like the most perfect of Italian comedies, that really pits man and woman against each other and gets the title right; the others are investigative films (all very intriguing!) about more or less free choices of both sexes, which often start from a dream and instead go up against even harsher realities than the initial ones. Some have satirical overtones, others dramatic if not chilling, and there is even some sort of interlude with homeless people and hard drugs.
Technically commendable (the first with exquisite cinematography that sports visually striking sepia colors), the episodes that make up the film make us reflect on the rhythms of today's society and the dynamics of the heterosexual couple relationship, with particular reference to human reactions. Far from gender theory, they are therefore sociologically interesting in their archaicness. Are you male or female?
